To achieve Los Angeles regional sustainability by leveraging successful programs and limited resources among public agencies. By working together we can set new targets, establish joint strategies, provide training, provide resources and recommend achievable environmental goals for future years.
Vision
Our commitment to a better environment starts with the public agencies. We need to join our efforts to create a forum wherein we all work together and move towards a more sustainable Los Angeles. We recognize each of our agency’s limitations, but together we can create unprecedented innovative systems, information sharing programs, and new partnerships. The Los Angeles Sustainability Coalition will be the catalyst to accelerate these initiatives for environmental construction techniques, increase in renewable energy implementation, installation of more alternative vehicle infrastructure, energy management systems, and resource conservation initiatives. Our forum will allow public agencies to freely share with one another their experiences, mentor those who are having similar challenges within their organizations, and teach one another how to use limited public resources to achieve efficient results.
